    In Windows

    • Type “Cmd” in the search box.
    • Open Command Prompt.

    step1 : Go to Control Panel.

    step3 :Go to System and Security -> Windows Defender Firewall.

    step13 :Go to Protocol and Ports. Choose the protocol (TCP or UDP) and add the port number into the Specific Local Ports section. You can find the list here.

    step15 :Press Next and choose Allow the connection.

     

    step16 :allow the connection option

     

    step17 :Select what type of network this rule applies to and click Next.

     

    step18 :applying rule for private domain and public

     

    step19 :Add a name and short description to the rule and click Finish.

     

    step20 :specify rule and description for this rule

     

    To close the port, simply remove the rule

     

    How to open a port on Mac

     

    step1 : Open System Preferences. 

     

    step2 :system preferences on mac

     

    step3 :Go to Security and Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options.

     

    step4 :firewall options in firewall tab

     

    step5 :Tap plus sign.

     

    step6 :plus sign

     

    step7 :Choose an application and click Add.

     

    step8 :choosing app

     

    step9 :Make sure that Allow Incoming Connections is turned on.

     

    step10 :confirm allowed incoming connections

     

    step11 :Click OK.

     

    To close the port, simply remove it from the list.
